Unlikely since neurosurgery postponed again; right leg has pinched nerve or some such malady that keeps me from walking more than 20 ft.
Mike, somebody has asked me to ask you if you are willing to make a trade or sell a cutting of your Monstera?
Tim, I'm planning to install a bunch of palms from seed I grew from Jim and Judy several years back. The install is on Big Pine Key at my in-laws place. (There is a new house going up next to them and they want privacy.) Jim said you might be interested in this type of work. My phone is (813) 244-2511, email tobiasrose@yahoo. Let me know if you are interested, thanks.
Ficus Ruby is faster, bigger, more colorful and hardier than plain F.e.variegata. Mine grew from a 4" to a 12x12' monster in a pot! For you could be a big topiary at least.
I saw your question on Ficus Ruby. I have one and its a fast grower, hardy and mine grew from a small 4 leafed 4" potted plant to 12 x12' plant in 4 years..IN A POT! I'm afraid to plant it. Its much more everything-color,growth rate, than plain Ficus elastica variegata. I think Dave on the palm board posted photos of one a year ago in Santa Ana That was a true tree already. olor..more red all the time then F.e.v.
I was looking at an old post if your you had some thai crotons and hybrids. I was wondering if you sell/trade cuts?
Dean, i am going to Hawaii. Big Island and Kawaii, more likely. Can I meet you?
Karl, we are going to Vero Beach tomorrow to visit Peter's nursery on Monday. May be we can have a glance at your fabulous garden somewhere along the way??

Hi Pix, I will be over at school getting exams ready and trying to finish up a chunk of my grading. Let me see how the weather looks and how long I take at school. Some parts of the yard look nice, but I need to get out and do some major weeding and mulching. I am hoping to really get everything looking nice in June once I am done with school so that may be a better time. Thanks, Karl

Hi Pix, I did not get home from school until 7:00 pm. Finally got my final exams done as well as some grading, but will likely spend another 5 or 6 hours there tomorrow. I will be looking forward to being able to just focus on the gardens soon. Wish I had been able to have some time to get some plants for you and show off the garden, but hopefully you will have a chance in the future to visit.
Hello Friend! Thank you very much for the newsletters. Is there a question - can I share them with my friends? They also like to grow croton. We have a community where we communicate and share successes. It is a pity that we do not have the opportunity to grow croton in orchards.
Hi Mike, Would like to get the addresses of you and Mike when you have a chance. Looking forward to seeing your gardens. Thanks, Karl
Need address for you and Mike. Keith and I will be driving over early. Can also send to pstager@tampabay.rr.com
Thanks, see you there.

Hi David,

Would love to come down and visit. I would be happy to bring as many cordylines as you want. I have close to 100 different varieties of all size and color. If we don't get flooding this weekend, I should be ready to start to replace some of the plants that did not make it with crotons. Will you be around next weekend? I can go out and cut a bunch of cordylines before I come down.

Talk to you soon,
Karl
My email is karlleonhardt@comcast.net so if you want to email some photos I can try posting them on your thread.
Randy, thank you for your offer. What else do you have available?

Hi Karl,

I have about 40 air layers on some really rare crotons. Please let me know if you're looking for anything special. I'll have to put a list together when I have the time! Thanks, Randy

Thanks Randy,

Let me find my wish list and send you the names of the plants I have been searching for. Half the time when I go and visit Marie I end up getting completely different plants from what is on my list, so feel free to make recommendations.

Good to hear from you.

Hi Marie,

I have Spring Break this coming week and was hoping to make my way down to Miami to visit the zoo and Fairchild. It has been years since I have stopped by to get plants from you (other than at the auctions and Fairchild). Will you be around at all as I would love to stop by and do some shopping? I need to see if I have your email and I can send you my wishlist of crotons. Thanks, Karl
Hi David,

Just saw your message. I am driving down to Jeff's with my mom early tomorrow morning so I will be there around 7:30. I had hoped to take the day off from work today, but couldn't because we have a school talent show. I am hoping that there will still be a good selection. I will try to remember to give you a call tonight.

Thanks,
Karl
It's good to be back. Three spinal surgeries in the last four years, and I'm still walking, but SLOWER! Paul.

Nice to hear from you again. Thanks for you monthly contributions to Tropiscape - they are greatly appreciated.
Hello. I noticed on Palmtalk that they listed you as living in Palmetto, FL. I don't know if you are the same Zeeth but I just moved to Ellenton from N. Tampa and would like to speak to someone about what palms will grow nicely down here. Thanks for your time.
Dean, if the Central FL Palm & Cycad Society were interested in setting up a sub forum (public, of course, but still CFPACS focused), how would we do that?

Hey Keith, any further info to share after bringing it up at your meeting?
Tim! Thank you for the Green "Godess" Dragon! (Can't remember everything!). It will be coming to the Keys! See you soon! Judy
