It does resemble Kentucky.
As for the new flush of leaves coloring, one must take into account environmental conditions and the genetic instability of these plants. A single snap shot makes it difficult to determine an accurate ID sometimes.
Observations over time or looking at the older leaves give some indications of an ID. Just my two cents worth.
That is an amazing red flush of leaves, no matter what cultivar it is.
