I had a few crotons when I lived in San Diego but it was frustrating. I've been so busy propagating tis that I haven't started on crotons yet.
The first time I encountered a lot of crotons was when I was in Bali. I asked my Balinese friend how to propagate them and he said "You just cut, take the stick, and put it in the ground!" and I just said, "yeah right!" But now that I live in Hawai'i, I've found that to be true. Dean only had two when I came but I've "trimmed" a couple and Dean found some cuttings at the transfer station
(the dump). If you are coqui free like we are, you have to be careful about taking cuttings from the dump or even from friends who have coqui... make sure there aren't any eggs on them!

Yea....you guys and girls definitely have an edge on us here in south Florida. Allthough you can root some this time of year by simply sticking them in the ground, but most of the year, this would be tough.

Angela, I'm glad to hear Dean's letting you have some fun out in the garden these days.;)
