Moose - looks more like one of those un-named hybrids that pop up all over the place. JB has pink on the petioles; don't see any on your pic.
See attached pics - pink on petiole, it's a JB; no pink on petioles, no JB. JB length seems to vary mainly with light and cultural conditions from two inch leaf in full sun to eight inch+ in shade.

This is one of my seedlings Phil. It looked like a long leaved John Bender when it was small for a couple of years. Started referring to as Long John Bender. When I did the mass planting back in October, I needed a green and yellow croton to give the eye a break from so many "colored" ones were getting planted. Since I planted it I decided to name it what I had been calling it all along. Its definitely not looking the same as when it was smaller but its doing its job.
