Is this the cultivar "Excellent"?

This was sold to me as "Excellent". Is this an accurate ID ?

I don't think so. It looks more like "Angel Wing" to me, but it's impossible to be certain from a photo and it may change once it gets in the ground. This is my "Excellent".

Thanks Ricky. It seems almost all the cultivars I got from this source have suspect ids. If mine is Angel Wing, I will be happy to know what it is - I already love the leaf shape and color patterns. Yours seems to have much darker leaves with sharp contrasting blood red veining. Very nice!

I would say it is Excellent. The leaf shape looks about right. Ricky's plant needs to color up more, as these will get alot of red in the leaves.

Ron, that looks like Gloriosum Superbum which has been showing up at Target stores up here. Don't confuse that one with Gloriosa.

It ended up being Angel Wing. The leaf characteristics changed as it matured. Will post a follow-up photo soon.

That's not Angel Wing baby cakes, that's Gloriosum Superbum.
