Hopefully you won't lose any plants, sometimes standing water smothers the roots. I've lost a few that way.

Between the cold and hurricanes and now floods I have lost at least 100 plants that took years to acquire.

Hurts me just to see these fotos...here's hoping that there is only mimimum damage and your garden recovers quickly!

Thanks Jeff but I assure you the damage is done there is 2 to 2 and a half feet of water around these plants that does not include every plant that was in a pot outside of the shade house or the plants inside at least 125 in pots are gone the 3 hurricanes ruined me but this is incredible every canal has overflowed its banks and the streets are impassable This is a photo of the street to get out of here.

Please post some "after" pics, so we can hopefully see how resilient things can be. I know it looks terribile now.

Honestly most likely days according to Indian trail improvement district who handle the roads and canals etc they are only allowed to release a certain amount of water per day as to not flood other communities that is according to the South Fla water management district.

I would be surprised if many of these plants live but who knows. I will post photos as the water recedes. At this point the plants are the least of our worries due to the fact that the stagnant water will become a health issue and a lot of people cannot leave their homes. The fire department has been driving huge trucks around checking on people.I am a native Floridan and have been through so many storms I am just shocked at the amount of water.If you drove a few miles in any direction you would not even know this problem exists .I am thankful we have electricity and the tv but cabin fever is setting in for the wife and son.
The funny part is I spent 3 weeks after work and on my days off some nights its was 2am pulling weeds and weed blocking and mulching the beds over 300 bags of mulch as I got almost finished I said to myself the last time my garden looked this good we had 3 hurricanes and then what happens..........T S Issac its almost comical.

I'm sorry to see that and hope it works out as best as possible. At least it's not tidal surge or every plant would be dead without question.
I hope you have no losses and that the water has receded. I lived in Wellington for years and there was always a problem with drainage there. My son is still there and he said he's never seen it so bad. I assume you are in Loxahatchee or the Acreage. I know several people flooded out there. Hope you're able to get around now. Sounds like Palm Beach County better get on the ball! Chris

This is good news! I just finished cleaning up a bunch of potted plants that were sitting in the water for a few days. I lost a 5-6 year old little magnolia that is planted in the "lowlands." That rain was freakish, and you guys got hit hard. Glad to see you are recovering nicely.
