One of Florida's neatest native palms in my opinion is the Florida Thatch Palm (Thrinax radiata)-it reminds me of a scaled down version of our Cabbage Palms and can be found on Big Pine Key with our miniature Key Deer! The white fruit are rather unexpected. Too bad it is tender to cold. I don't think that it would make a good container palm-which is a shame-so I have to enjoy it during my vacations to south Florida.
