OK you folks that like to name things. Here's a nice little interupted leaf form. No idea where it came from. Slow growing and the one in the pot is the first air layer. Knock yourselves silly on this one.

Phil - I have Johannis in the deep shade that looks exactly like that. By the way, is that a David McLean "Zadroga" in the lower right of the first picture?

That's a Polychrome in the LR.

Jeff - I've got Joannis also in deep shade to almost full sun and none of them look like this thing. Lots of subtle differences mainly in the color, i.e., some specs of yellows and orange. We'll see how the air layer does in different light conditions.

Here's a set of pics with two Joannis leaves laid over the air layer; one joannis leaf from deep shade and a new one in bright sun. First two are top of leaves; second two pics try to show undersides. The UK one has veining down the middle which the Joannis does not have; some of the mid ribs on the UK are redish. At any rate , it is what it is - and shows us how little we do know about this unusual plant we collect.

The Norwood Beauty came from an older home in south St. Pete from a lady who 'wanted her croton trimmed back' Lots of cuttings were distributed so they are around... First time somone has assigned a name to it - probably needs more light to color up more.

Growing slowly but steadily; now about 3 ft. tall and with multiple heads. here's a few close up pics taken tonight. Approx. 1/3 of the leaves are interrupted; note the red main vein on mature leaves.
