This ginger was found growing at the north inside area of a "horse shoe" shaped home. Protected from the north winds and southern exposurer to the warming sun, it faired pretty good.
Opposite, there is a ginger with white flowers that was blasted by north winds and stayed heavily shaded - it is very toasted.
I think this may be Alpinia purpurata "Red Dwarf".
If someone knows it to be otherwise - please post your corrective ID.
