We need an ID on this croton that we found in Hawaii a few years ago and again this past March. It likes strong light and is a moderate grower. The leaves look like pink ruffles.

Any ideas on its identity?

Looks like something from Thailand....
Very very nice whatever it is!
Hope you brought some cuttings home....

The leaves have the look of a Thai croton but they're larger than most Thais. The plants grow more like American/European cultivars. Our largest plant is 3' tall.

Marie - did you show Chandra this croton? It may not have originated on this side of the planet ? :)

Sergey - have you seen any cultivar that looked like this on your croton pilgrimage to Thailand ?

Ron – you are right. Such leaf shape is common enough in SE Asia. Many varieties with various leave’s length and width. Also I’ve noticed that such leaf shape is often the result of hybridizations with round-leaf Thai varieties.
