I think this plant was part of the original landscape of the home after being built in the early 80's. Any ideas ?
Thanks, Dominic

Welcome Dominic,

That plant is Philodendron bipinnatifidum - also known as Philodendron selloum.

A common Philo, but nevertheless spectacular in its look, ease of growth, and hardiness. A real winner to lend that tropical look, if you have the space and want to feel like a master gardener with the inevitable success you will have.

Cut a trunk off and drop it where you want it to grow. Spray it with some water occasionally until it gets going - and enjoy.

Thanks for the welcome and id Dean.

Yes grows easy a little to easy.

The propagation method is good to know also.

Dominic

The "Hope" variety of this Philo has actually survived as far north as Virginia.
