This croton has never had an ID. The leaf has a dull sheen to it and the plant is a fast grower. This plant receives afternoon sun.

It looks like Clipper. I have a bunch of them in the ground in various sun and shade locations. Several look just like that.

Also have one very similar to it. In strong light, it colors up more; in shade, it looks like the one in your pic. The one time Dr. Brown and John Bender looked at it together some years ago, the only thing they agreed upon, after a short discussion as to what the name might be, that it was a pretty nice croton.
