We had a great family trip to the western shore. For some reason I can't load any pictures. We saw hundreds in the landscape of resorts and family homes. I will keep working on the uploading.

Costa Rica had many great varieties with good colour.But to be honest the leaf size was not what we get here in Florida??Most varieties had smaller leaves,not sure why??

I suspect that the care (regular fertilization and supplemental watering when needed) makes a big difference. Any of the green croton scale down there?

Makes sense Phil with one exception.Water is definitely not a problem,In Arenal ,it rained 4-8 times daily.Brief heavy showers then cleared right up agaim.But lack of fertilization probably explains it.We went during the"dry season"
