Cold Sensitivity

Thanks Scott - looks to be some valuable info there for Bromeliad growers.
from personal experience, the cold ranges for Deuterocohnia are WAY off... I live in inland California where I can easily grow most Deuterocohnias outdoors totally exposed and most have not been cold damaged despite being snowed upon or having temps drop into the high teens multiple times. Deuterocohnia lorentziana did show mild tip burn when covered with snow for most of the day, but brevifolia, lottae and longipetala did not. MOST Dyckias however, croaked during these cold periods, so I do not necessarily believe that rating, either. I doubt most of you, however, live in locations where it snows, huh?
