    The Most Interesting Croton in the Yard

    Each set of leaves is similiar in size and markings. Prior to the last flush, the largest leaves were 5 inches at the shoulder and 10 in long. The newest flush is 5 in by 13 inches. It's going to be fun watching this guy.

    The leaves mature to jet black. The orange is bold. It reminds me of an early painting in a cave or warpaint. That's a possibility.

    When we got back to the Keys in October, 0007 was on fire. The two older leaves look like detailing that belongs on a hotrod. Heaven help me if this croton were ever to be named The Heat or Heater.
