    Vero Beach Crotons 2016

Karl, you're a fabulous croton grower. Your plants look fantastic! You may have gotten your Applause from me, mine have always tended to the pinks and fuschias. I've never seen a fuller Amabile. Good for you!

Fla. State Horticultural Society 1953 - New Hybrid Crotons

Ana, Ray Hernandez identified one of my crotons as a Martha Brooks or Ann Rutherford so I'm not sure which it is. It does look like the wiki pictures though. Whose croton is the first picture? The Brooks description sounds like Martha Brooks. Why not put in both as aka. I think we could...

    Old Sun Sentinel Articles

Ana, This is a photo that Jesse Durko took that was used in Frank Brown's book. Jesse gave me all his croton photos to use as I saw fit so I think it's okay to put it in the wiki. What is pictured is a photo of a photo so it probably won't enlarge. I wish we had known John Bender when he had...

    Fall 2016 croton meeting/auction

I'm excited to report that if all goes well, I'll be bringing an Imelda Marcos for the auction. A few years ago we were able to get a cutting from a plant that had been positively identified by Dr. Brown at Waimea Falls in Hawaii. It was a very slow grower for the first couple of years so I...

    Davis Estate

My original plant came from Chris Mayhew as Davis Estate because that was where he was able to acquire it. I have a few others from him as well that are also labeled as Davis Estate but are different cultivars. Chris, would you weigh in on this and the naming convention?
