    When I first saw this croton I fell in love with it for many reasons. It is a coincidence that it was also at a tour at Jeff Searle's home. To this day, I still love this croton "Doris" very much!

    This picture was taken at the 2015 Ramble. I met Jeff Chaik at a tour at J. Searle's house. I was amazed at his conversations about palms and all plants in general. He is truly knowledgeable and fun to talk to.

    Brenda, I have a couple of young trees and a Medjool Palm which create filtered light. It is important not to give them deep shade which in turn give the croton a dark color.

    Brenda, first I keep the plant healthy by spraying with fish oil or water, alcohol and soap and bit of fish oil. I fertilize with low nitrogen , high phosphate and low potassium. It seems to work for me. Just be sure to use little amount of fish oil because it can burn leaves.
