Sick of the Mad Fox Yet?

Dean! That palm is beautiful. I'm completely unfamiliar with it too. Is it some kind of Dypsis or something else? Where did you get these? Hmm... Maybe in the next Tropicscape auction?

Flowers That Even Darwin Can't Explain

Wow! Really amazing stuff. Interesting how many of these blooms come from orchids. I'll be looking at this thread a few more times, and see what I might be able to obtain and grow in my garden. We have a Dove orchid in the ground at the Audubon House. It was in full bloom a couple of months...

Kerriodoxa elegans - Doesn't get much better

Dean, I thought these were dioecious. Do you have a male nearby? Beautiful palm, I love them too. Wind protection helps to keep those leaves from tearing. I have one at a clients yard that takes quite a bit of sun and still looks great.

    Newly Planted Pigafetta

I finally got this beauty planted yesterday. I purchased this Pigafetta filaris as a 4 inch palm a little over a year ago. It went in the ground as a 4 ft well rooted 7 gallon palm. I am hoping to get long term success with this palm due to our very mild winters in Key West. It is on display...
