Sorry to see the damage Mike. I know how much time and energy you put into your garden. I'm sure things will recover quickly.

Spring 2016 Garden Tour & Croton Auction

Spoke with George yesterday. He said he is going to put about 20 lbs of pork tenderloin on the smoker for the group. Everything else will pretty much be up to the attendees. People can start to show up as early as 10 am, but figure that the auction will start after the meat is ready, somewhere...

One of the Biggest I've Seen - Allagoptera arenaria

Here's one at a property I do maintenance at in Shark Key. It is 8 ft plus. Planted 12 years ago to the best of my knowledge. It does not get full on blazing sun, so it would probably be larger if it did. Still a nice palm though.

Spring 2016 Garden Tour & Croton Auction

    mulch experience?

Hey Bren, I use different types of mulch on different properties depending on budget and ease of access on the property. The one product I will never use is any colored mulch. Try finding out what they use to dye this stuff with, regardless of color, and no one has ever answered me. I've also...

A Beautiful Bush - But No ID - Help Please

My first thought was Medenilla from the blooms, but it has a very woody appearance in the photo. Very cool plant Dean. Thank you for another ID Marie!

This Ethel Craig is at one of my accounts in Key West. Due to its placement, it was very difficult to get full plant pics.

    Chris Mayhew Croton

Walking with Jeff Searle in his garden the morning after the annual Holiday party, we came across this very nice looking croton. Jeff said he wanted to call this one Chris Mayhew. Jeff will have to fill in on the details of the origin of the plant. Mr. Searle...
