What A Surprise - Miss Andrea

Good Job - Let me know when/if they pop. I have a feeling they will be winners. At least a possibility for some colorful Tis for SoCal. I have lots of big Miss Andrea - but I don't think I have yet seen a flower. :(

    Chaemadorea metallica.

Looking good. You're right - you need more - a small grove of these guys makes a great presentation

    Monstera Fruit.

Funny too that almost everything you pick yourself seems to taste better. :)

    Variegated Monstera deliciosa/

That looks great Stan. BTW - I have found that the leaves one that "white" one never get as large as they do on the green or "yellow" monstera.

    Monstera Fruit.

I guess I will give it a try - Monstera is all over the place here and I have it taking over. I cut and throw away truck loads sometimes. I see the wild pheasants and chickens eating them - so why don't I. :)

Have you checked for Spider Mites?

    What's wrong with my Cordylines?

I would tend to agree with Scott. While Ti plants are very drought tolerant, that doesn't mean they will look good without adequate water. They may not die, but they will look stressed, especially if it gets sunny and hot as well. And as Scott mentioned, if they are not 100% well established -...

    AROID..SHARE VIEWS - ID?

Here are some pics of Philodendron domesticum - it looks very similar (this was called Lemon Lime). It has a few variations. But this one looks like it might be it.

    AROID..SHARE VIEWS - ID?

Were these grown from seeds or cuttings? If from cuttings, how big/tall was the mother plant, and was it "climbing" or "spreading?"

    Seeing Some Potential Here

That would be odd - as I have not seen that happen - ever.

Tropical Fern & Exotic Plant Society Annual Show & Sale

Someone needs to get together with Moose and his new "computer" and show him an easy way to post replies and photos. I think he has a tablet now and doesn't know how to easily use it with the forum.

What A Surprise - Miss Andrea

I'm glad you have the patience and perseverance to continue. At least these seeds (if they are viable) don't take months/years to germinate. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

    Ponytail palm in trouble

Two things: 1) If you look around, you may be able to locate a bigger one somewhere. These can be shipped and keep out of soil for long periods of time. 2) Plants are like people. So, you wouldn't put them next to someone with a contagious disease. And whatever is killing your sick plant could...

    Ponytail palm in trouble

I think it's time to start over. A new healthy plant shouldn't be that hard to find, and watching something thrive is so much more rewarding than watching a plant struggle. Fungus/rot are one of the hardest thing to stop or control once established. So, I would just get rid of all that dirt and...

    Pentagonia - Red Form???

I will as soon as I have some. The last pod didn't ripen. However, a new vendor (who may start listing soon) may have some. As a note: I can confirm the seed was good and had good germination.

    How can I edit palmpedia?

Tony, I will be sending you an email later today with some direction. Please be advised that in almost all cases, the photos used on Palmpedia must have the permission of the original photographer - and proper credit given.

    Can Anyone ID Dypsis arenarum???

Bren - if anything, I think the ID of D. arenarum is even more uncertain. I have seen several palms labeled as this, and several habitat photos of different palms labeled as this. So, IMO the real D. arenarum is still incognito.
