I forgot to mention that blooms have a range... some have a 6" - 8" range.

Here is Gabriel today! I will post another photo later after it fades. All hybrid flowers last two days, some last three and a few last four days!

My plants always look like that. All bare except for the tips because I probably don't prune enough... I have trouble pruning!!

Looking good! I'm fighting a losing battle against fungus gnats :( I saw brown on the root of a seedling and dug it up and all the root was eaten/rotted away :( Those sound like some really interesting crosses. Can't wait til my white diamonds starts blooming but that's probably six months away...

That's an awesome photo Nina! Here's an orchid I forgot to post. We threw it outside, neglected it and it rebloomed so I brought it back inside.

I don't have the heart to trash this one since it's my first. The only thing interesting about it is the fade. It opens up a bright peach/orange color then turns yellow. And it's a night owl like me, it likes to start opening at night.

I'm not an expert but the most important thing is to have a low middle number. Hibiscus store phosphorus and if you feed them phosphorus it will build up to a toxic level. It will slowly kill them so NEVER use "super bloom" on them! I just use the same time release fertilizer Dean uses for his...
