    small leal Ralph Davis

Here's one I got out of his yard. Leaves are 8" in the largest to maybe 4 1/2' in the smallest. Some of the oldest leaves have a pinkish blush, barely noticeable on top but obvious on the underside. Just dug it out of the yard and repotted it.

    Fresh cross

Peyton, nice cross. Stoplight is always a good breeder for me, but I've always just used it for pollen. Not that I wouldn't pollinate it. Just haven't had the opportunity yet. Like I said....Great Expectations.

    Seedlings

Peyton, I think it's a good idea. It's nice to see what's out there. A lot of my plants lost color this winter but fertilizing is pushing new growth that seems to have them coloring up. I'll get more pictures when that happens. I'm taking first airlayers off some of the seedlings now. We...

Keith...Hope you don't get too far away from the crotons. What happened with the ti plants you were going to get? They're quite colorful too. And bromeliads are nice. I had a collection of them once myself. Still have a few around.

    Seedlings

Seedlings, seedlings...seedlings everywhere, some good, some bad, some I hate to care. But it sure is fun! I just threw out a batch the other day. They just didn't seem to have the potential of the others in the group and space is at a premium. I thought later I probably should have given...

    mango bombs

I now have cuttings of irene kingsley/satan and coral shower from the remnants of yesterdays' bomb damage. Ladders are up and I'm continually picking but I just can't see them all. And the squirrels are relentless mango bombardiers.

    Today & Tomorrow

As far as the fern goes the narrow leaves are the fertile fronds with spore. A very happy plant.

    Croton Scale VS Mealy Bug

I held off on the imadocloprid and sprayed with organics for weeks but I couldn't take it any more so I applied it on every croton I had. Now the beetles are showing up. So far they don't seem bothered. I can only hope they will be able to maintain a population even with the insecticide. Oh...
