The west coast people were hit very hard by the cold this year. I have been bummed out and angry about it. You know you have the croton bug if you still grow crotons after a winter like this. If I didnt like them so much, I would not grow them anymore.

with a week of cold and frost here in Bradenton, my plants under frost cloth did ok. I did not have enough to cover everything, so with the hard freeze sunday night thru monday morning, I have over 100 plants that are now mush. even plants that are under oaks that never get hurt, are now...

As Marie stated above, I got my plant from the POPE [codiaeum pope-John Bender] He called it Dr. Alexander, named after the man who gave it to him. Jeff forgive my spelling, drop the s if I put one in there.

Phil, it grows pretty fast for me. I got my plant from you, this year I got 3 or 4 air-layers off my plant, and I could still get cuttings off it now. I have my plant in more light than yours, maybe that is the trick. But by far it is the coolest plant I have gotten from you.

Richard Krukonis is the one croton I have been looking to find, and after all these years, I have not seen it. I think it has left this world never to be seen again.
