    Seedlings

Chris, the ti plants are coming along nice. I will have to haul in some dirt to the back of my yard before I plant them because it is low out there. Ive had bromeliads a long time now, but my interest has peeked lately--just bought 100 different neos.!!!

    Seedlings

Chris, I know what your talking about. I just dumped about 400 4 inch pots of seedlings. I kept about 100 to grow out more. I have about 4 or 500 hundred more from this year already. Other things are taking my time now, I went back to my other addiction I used to have-- collecting bromeliads [...

    Croton Scale - what's working?

Phil, If I were you, I would cut the top out of that plant and bag it up and spray the heck out of the whole yard. I know its a matter of time before we have it here, but try to delay it as long as possible. Everything I bring in from the east coast goes into the garage until I spray it about...

    growing crotons from seed

I use pro mix, but any good potting mix should do. I plant them with-in days of them popping out of their pods. I plant them deep enough to cover the seed. You have to plant a lot to get a few that might be good. I have about 500 now, but will be dumping about 400 soon. I will grow out the other...

    Cameo

I knew cameo had potential of being a interrupted croton because the leaf was so skinny in the middle, now that mine is about 4 feet tall, it is getting a lot of interrupted leaves.

The Colors of Cordylines (The Ti Plant)

First time I have been on this page looking at Ti plants-- I should have stayed off this site, now I may have to start collecting Cordylines. I have always been into crotons, how well do Cordylines take the cold compared to crotons?

I would believe it, Morti is the worse croton I ever had for mites, and the RL I just got from Moose is full of mites. I have sprayed that plant 3 or 4 times already. [it was bug- free from Moose ]

Hector - need some info ...

Speaking of viruses, we dont know if crotons carry a virus. I know orchids can, and out in Arizona oleanders are being wiped out by leaf scorch which is spread by a bug and pruning tools, and here in Florida they catch whitches cane [broom] which is spread by pruning tools-no cure. I sterilize...
