A question for the veterans??What to do about greening out.

I would say dig it up and put it in more light, or less light if it's already in full sun. A good dose of fertilizer might help. Time might help. Yards are small and crotons are plentiful, if worse comes to worse ditch it for something else.

    Pinoccho

It looks like the Pinocchio in my yard, a very robust grower and good in full sun. The tree behind it looks like Ashoka, an interesting tree starting to show up more often in the Florida landscapes. I read that it's very common in India, which would explain why it's in Trinidad.

    Unknown from the plant nursery?

At first glance I thought Van Houtii, but it has more color than the one in this photo. This one just got an air layer.

    The Glock's Keys Croton Garden

Thanks for posting beautiful pics! Post #12, middle picture, top row is a plant I purchased ten years ago from the Blaumans. It was labled Bonita, for what it's worth. I traded it with the Glocks a year or two ago. I just put several air layer on this plant if anyone is interested. Stained...

    Moose's "Grandma" identified

The photos in post #14 look like the Clipper that I have, originally from K. Deckers old place. It's not uncommon to see this one around the old neighborhoods in SW Florida. Even in shade, the Clippers I've seen are generally less colorful than the plant in the first post. I don't have my...

    mango bombs

Best to use clippers or a picker, so to control the bombardment. A few weeks ago I noticed a solitary ripe papaya among a half dozen green. Too lazy to fetch the picker, I decided I would stand on the opposite side of the ripe papaya, shake the tree, and deftly catch it before it hit the...

    Tropical and Subtropical vines

I had a Rangoon Creeper, very nice but too much work. I'm still pulling up volunteers from the old root system. Same with the sky vine, passion vine, bougy's and so many others. They just take over. Since those days of heavy labor I am experimenting with less invasive vines. I like the classic...
