OK I missed that. If that offer is still on the table, I will gladly acquiesce to them. Guys?

    Fall Auction

I believe the last auction was at Anna's. We had an opportunity for a Spring event on the East coast, but it seemed to have evaporated, so I thought I'd give it a try.

    Fall Auction

It may be a bit early to advertise, but I would be interested in hosting a fall gathering here in St Petersburg, sometime in early to mid November. If all goes according to plan, we are selling our home next year and there goes my croton garden for good, so call this an attempt to go out with a...

Lillian Stoffregen vs Delaware, or who knows?

A while ago, Phil had posted a photo on the croton encyclopedia of a plant he acquired which was labeled as a Lillian Stoffregen. We are asking for your input re: his photo, because we are not sure which name belongs to that picture. I'm thinking that it is not a Lillian; at first I thought it...

    What the Wiki needs

Jeff, speaking strictly for myself, I don't mind the long auctions, especially since we meet no more than twice a year. If the Croton Society was still alive and had plant sales, that would be another way for people to buy. Mark Peters is doing a good job at plant sales at various botanical...

    Fall Get Together

Dave showed me his mist house and Thai beauties after the plant sale at Fairchilds one year. He was propagating them in pure perlite. For some reason, he abandoned crotons and moved to a condo or retirement home. He had some super spectacular Thai crotons.

    John Bender Sport

This sport resembles the one on page 19 of Dr. Brown's second book. I was curious to know whether it had any established name?

    What is it?

Thanks, Scott. Looking at the pics on the encyclopedia it looks like a very definite ID. Too obscure for me; glad you nailed it.

    What is it?

This plant has red petioles which is causing me some confusion regarding the correct ID.

    Fall Get Together

October 31st at your place looks good. FYI, other non-croton attractions in the area are Sunken Gardens (admission fee) and the Florida Botanical Garden (free).

    Crotons of the Galapagos Islands

What a great trip you had. The picture of you on the beach is hilarious! I'm very envious; the Galapagos are on my bucket list.

    Tropical Plant Book Recommendations

Florida Gardening magazine, usually devotes two pages to advertise books in the "On the Bookshelf" section near the end of each issue. Too many to list here.

COME ON SPRING ....seedlings cutting and airlayers.......

you've got a gorgeous group of crotons, and I'm very envious that your Helen Edge has produced seedlings; mine never have. Just another example of how much better crotons grow in S.E. Florida than in the Tampa Bay area!!
