Yesterday's Sighting (Unusual)

Pleasant good day everyone,
On my way home I got a glimpse of this plant, snapped these photos and got a cutting from the owner. The leaves are large (10 -14 inches long).

I have no clue as to the name of the plant.

That's probably a very old Stoplight that's lost it's color over time.
