I found this croton growing out front of a Library yesterday. It is on a southern exposure getting hit by blazing sun. I don't think it has seen mulch or any fertiliser in eons. I want to say Ethel Craig but it looks like too many colors? Calling all who have the croton eye. Remember it is getting "bleached" by alot of sun and the leaves are smaller than typical due to no loving.

Marie,

These you both mentioned can sometimes be hard to tell apart. I would go with Ben Alexander which has the pinks in it, and Baron le Compte which has more orange than anything else.

Ron,

You need to get some cuttings going, or at least some air layers.

It is at a public library. Perhaps clandestine rogue airlayering is required.

Hey Marie, good to see you posting again. Anything interesting perculating in your shade house?

Ron, I have Ben, but it is still small and the markings are not as beautiful as yours. Mine has quite a bit of veining and some splotching. I'm hoping as it matures, maybe the markings will get more pronounced? I hope so.
