The first two pictures are of a croton that was getting blasted with full sun and the leaves look like the color was bleached out of them. It was identified as a Mammey from the source. That ID is very much doubtful to me now. It also got the croton scale real bad after it was planted and dropped all its new flush of leaves. Now that the scale issue has been resolved, here is the beginning of the newest flush of leaves that actually took some time. That scale really sucked the energy out of this plant. It is in some pretty good shade and only gets a dappling of light throughout the day. Anybody's thoughts of what it could possibly be?
The last pictue was a "I don't know what it is, take it" cultivar. Same scale issue, now the newly flushed set of leaves are coming on. It is also in shade. I am starting to think that it looks like another one I had ID'd as "Stripe" from the source. Does anyone have a guess what it may be - this one is wide open for discussion.
