This is a nice looking philo. Unfortunately, I haven't had luck with keeping them alive in the landscape. In pots, they do great. Even Bill down at Silver Krome Nurseries once told me that the feedback was the same, that they don't hold up in the landscape. What does is, Philo. Rojo, with a dark red leaf. Have you had any success with them in the ground?
 
Jeff, I am growing this plant as a patio potted plant. I have no plans for planting in the ground. I do not think it would take the winter cold here.

A lady down the street from me has these in the ground for several years. She has them planted under oak canopy which helps but they did survive the upper 20's on consecutive nights (Jan 2010).
