And here it is in the ground, next to the sidewalk so the pedestrians can enjoy it.
Another case of the dumb name sticking. Like almost edison, that plant was too good to not have had a real name, but noone was familiar with it. It grew in a very restricted area, the 441 corridor in hollywood, and nowhere else. But it was fairly common in that area. What's unusual about that is most good crotons in yards were in the area of a nursery that sold crotons back in the day. Nothing else unusual or exiting was in that area, just that one.
