Any back ground info. you can tell us?

Jeff, Purchased as Yellow Mammie last year from Lowes. I picked this pot because of the look of the one plant. Here are pictures of its 2 potmates. I removed the smallest potmate and planted elsewhere in the garden.

The first one is definitely Rocio. The second plant is Golden Mammay. The clue is the red underside of the leaves. I have a couple of Golden Mammay that also get a rounded leaf along with the oblong ones.

Ricky, I am not convinced that it is a Mammay. If it contained a few of the rounded leaves I would understand, but the plant has round and short oblong rounded leaves. It really has the same look as Rocio, but with out all the Rocio colors. The leaves are 3-4" in length not including leaf stem. My Yellow Mammays leaves are 8-11" not including leaf stem.

more pics of the plant in question

Scott - The color is Golden Mammay, the leaf shape is more Roccio than Mammay. Ah, I've seen this one before. It's called Rocking Mammay's Golden Nugget.

Hey Scott, I was curious... the plant in post 12 and 15 is the same plant, and has it been in the ground since
August of 2012? Would kinda like to see a pic of the plant from a little distance. It appears to have a really vivid yellow, and a nice round round leaf shape.

Yes, it is the same plant Mark, just updated photos. From a distance with a reg. looking Y. Mammey growing near.

sorry for the dark photo but the storms started rolling in.

Thanks Scott for the last picture showing the whole plant. Very nice. Does my memory serve me right, that Roccio originated in thailand? (I could be wrong)..... But with that leaf shape and wonderful bright color it may be a door opening to some round leafed cultivars that will look like all those Thai crotons that don't really thrive here in south florida..... just an idea..... maybe arrange a blind date with roccio..... Anyway , thanks for sharing.
Mark
