I picked this up at OSH. My only other hibiscus is the near wild 'Lipstick' that I planted in ground and it takes care of itself. Hardy as nails.
This cultivar has a tender look to it. I'm sure it hates a freezing temp. I want to try cuttings in ground..see what happens. For now the motherplant will be potted and near the stairs.

This came out very nice. Growing in my "Suntropical" yard (71f!) in July.

This winter killed most large branches. So,it IS MUCH more tender then the usual HRS. We will see if it comes back strong. I knew anything this tropical looking would have trouble in our winters. Despite just a single 32f morn- only a couple of hours there...the all season of cold never ending rains wore it down.
