For me it's the ever popular Petra. I have 15 plantings in different light conditions and none of them do much. Here is my Best looking Petra... I am thinking of becoming Petra free.

A well grown Petra (there's the catch) can look phenomenal no matter how common the plant. There are a dozen or more plants that make collectors salivate but are hideous compared to Petra. It's the Queen Palm of the croton world.

Here are a couple of mine. Never look as good as the ones you see in the big box stores. As well as a take care of these guys - you would think they would look spectacular :(

Here is one giving me a hard time, General Marshall. Starting moving recently but pretty darn slow. No complaints about its color.

Another hard one for me, Doris. Chris (pocomo) says its not slow but it has been for me. Perhaps I have left it in too deep of shade for too long. Got moved to an area with more sun about one month ago. Looks like it may be responding well.

Colonel Bob Bullock. Recently flushed new leaves. Last time it flushed new leaves was last February - pretty darn slow if you ask me. Got no complaints how it looks. :)

Ray - BIG difference in leaf size. I've got both in the yard and Col BB is at least twice the leaf size as Wilma ande can have quite different color in some leaves.
