how long does the cuttings stay in the mist house before you can put in the shade house and wondering how often i mist thruout the day
thanks for any help

Cuttings (especially tropical ones like crotons) root faster with warmer temps, slower with cooler temps...
Mist cycles vary depending on weather - shorter cycles in hot or sunny weather, longer cycles in cool or rainy or cloudy weather...
The idea is to keep the leaves moist so that they do not suck the cutting dry and kill it while it has no roots, so adjust the mist cycle accordingly with the weather, maybe 5 to 30 seconds of mist every five minutes in the summer with fresh cuttings?
An enclosed propagation area will help keep the plants from drying out also.
I get excellent results using baggies over the pots - intermittent mist is usually for larger scale propagation.
Hope this helps.
