This variety was identified at the Croton Society meeting we had here last year. The first picture are cuttings I took a week ago. The second are cuttings in the ground from 6 months ago, and the last one are cuttings in the ground from 18 months ago.

Are these really AFD #2 ?

It reminds me a lot of this plant I picked up last Fall which was ID'ed here as Elaine...

It is Elaine, not AFD #2 or AFD #8 as was incorrectly ID'd by several Croton "experts." Tough when the variety is not in The Book.
