Just a few to share. Add your own if you want.

1) Fishbone

2) Evening Embers.....I got this many years ago from Johnny S. It's been terribly slow and my first air layer I took off it last summer died earlier this year from the cold.

3) William Jennings Bryan with my dog Kane.

Mioose - nice Royal Flush. Mine waited until FL State Fair time to defoliate last Feb but it bounced back nicely. It's a drop-dead sexy croton in full color.

Here are some i just took pics with, sorry if they arent the best pics, used my phone, waiting for new battery for camera to come.

...and here's a few of Gen Lin YuTang. The old one at Sunken Gardens must have been a casualty of the winter and a carless gardner since it is no longer there. This one grows fast and needs lots of sun to develop the late season dark pinks. That big air layer should color up real nicely in a few months.

Any idea where those Colin Kelleys a few posts up came from. they look nothing like the one I had (and may still have somewhere) that I got from the Blauman's some years ago. It was slow and then got whomped by falling fronds from an African oil palm near-by this year; last year's air layer may be a winter casualty. Yours look something like an AFD ???

I think Keith Hanks brought it to the meeting at Ricky's house. I was under the impression that it was a donation from you for the auction? It gets way too much afternoon sun. I have some trees around it that will help as the grow a bit more.

The Coral Showers I know definitely was a donation from you for the auction. :)

Phil,

I'm not too sure, but he might of got it from me. I've had this one for many years. It's a narrow little leaf thing, and not an AFD. When Bob Alonzo came through, he agreed that this was it and thought an old name was also Bruxelliensis. Have you ever heard of this name?

A couple of more beauties that came out of the old Richard Krukonis property.

First.....Father's Day

Second....Unknown

Phil,

I know this has been talked about and inquired before, but are there ANY known Gen. Lin Yu Tang around in anyone's collection that looks like the picture in the book? I mean, it's so different from the ones we all have, and quite frankly, nothing to brag about except the name.

From one of the smaller leaf var....Pitcarin, to one of the larger leaf varieties that has ever come along, and still very much sought after....Bimbo.

Jeff- The only Gen Tang that ever got a postive ID was the one at Sunken Gardens by Bob Alonzo. Never heard of one anywhere else. If anyone else has one from somewhere else, speak up pls. ...and as most of know, the Book is good but not infallible.
What you got to trade for Island Breeze? have a few 3 gal air layers here. This one has proven almost indestructable (for a croton) from full sun to almost full shade and is fast growing (for a croton).

here are a few...

The first is Polychrome, one of the best crotons for a shady spot that recieves very little sunlight or none.

The second is General Marshall.

Here's my Richard Krukonis that I was lucky enough to get from Frank Brown several years ago. It's pretty slow, about 3' tall now.
