    Another Dypsis Mystery

Dean- Its been a year or so, is yours any bigger? As a side note SOME Dypsis betefaka that came around over the last year or so seem to be like the Bo mystery palm. You know, with the red spear, etc. My above palm continues to grow and yet shrink at the same time?

    Voaniola's Freaky Heel

Dean, all of the larger Copernicia roots I've seen are really ugly/ malignant looking. Kinda like scrunched up rats tales.. mix those with a Dypsis heel.. Voila! err, I mean Voaniola!

    Voaniola's Freaky Heel

It looks like a Dypsis mixed with a Copernicia texture wise.. PS- Ralph Velez had a big one in his greenhouse. I meant to ask him where he got it and how long he's had it...

    Beccariophoenix alfredii hardiness

Here is a pic of Pete Balaskys in the ground about 3-4 miles from Jeffs place. Got the seed before it was named. ALSO- this at in the open thru at LEAST a couple 30F nights! Jeff? any thing to add? I would guess about 6 1/2 feet overall.

    Kentiopsis magnifica

I have had very good luck once these get to 3 gal size in So Cal. Thru a little experimentation, I found these like more light than most people give them. On the coast, they will probably take full sun once acclimated, and part day/morning sun inland. Bill
